Street Parking
Winter Springs city streets were studied at length during the time street parking ordinances changed. One side parking is not a feasible solution- the city pondered that but it is currently not being considered. Regardless of the arrangements and the streets to accommodate the parking, any parking condition that constitutes a public safety hazard, and side by side parking that will not allow emergency trucks to pass qualifies as one of these concerns, residents are encouraged to call the city police department non-emergency number at (407) 327-1000 to send an officer out to look at the issue and take necessary corrective action immediately. They may do so anonymously if they choose. There are, however, several curves in the city that will not accommodate parking at any time. Within the Georgetowne community these are as follows:
701 Andover Circle (50 foot radius)
769 Andover Circle (50 foot radius)
701 Barrington Circle (50 foot radius)
674 Barrington Circle (25 foot radius)
681 Barrington Circle (25 foot radius)
1473 Whitehall Boulevard (40 foot radius)
1432 Whitehall Boulevard (60 foot radius)
If there are cars parked in those areas they can also be addressed at any time by the Winter Springs Police Department. The following street maps indicate approximate locations of the above addresses and are provided for convenience. They are neither to scale nor legally binding.
Additionally, Winter Springs codes prohibit parking 20 feet from pedestrian crossings or intersections, within 30 feet of an approach to a stop sign or other traffic control device, and within 50 feet of a fire hydrant.
